Who Can Become A Member ?

CIES membership is on a company basis and is made up of over 200 major food retailing companies drawn from some 50 countries and an equal number of their suppliers world-wide :

  • Food-based retailers, drug stores, consumer cooperatives, wholesalers, buying groups, food service operators, retail cooperatives and voluntary groups.
  • Manufacturers of food, drinks and fast moving consumer goods as well as suppliers of equipment, services and technologies directly related to retailing.

Each member company is represented by a main contact at the level of chairman, president or chief executive officer.

As soon as a company has become part of our network, all management representatives of the member company have access to the CIES services and offers. For more information on our activities click here.

Membership Dues

Annual membership dues are based on the global sales of the member company, including all subsidiaries and all companies in which the member holds more than 50%. Those companies will thus be covered by membership also. A joining fee is charged for the first year of membership.
