The marketers also discovered the retail scene in Madrid by visiting Caprabo, Mercadona, Opencor and Maxidia.
The event was a true forum with interactive voting sessions which stimulated the debate on topical and relevant issues.

The Combat for Market Share, Price Perception and Understanding the Consumer, The Recovery of Carrefour, Brand Repositioning and Communicating Tomorrow.
Delegates were also on the shop floor with visits to Carrefour, Casino, Galeries Gourmandes and Résonances.

Conflicting Strategies for Profitable Growth - Understanding the Strategies Dilemmas

Over 200 marketing directors from 33 countries gathered in London on the 30th November and 1st December to discuss 'Conflicting Strategies for Profitable Growth'.
The group also discovered the best of British retail by visiting leading-edge stores in the city -Waitrose Food and Home, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Marks and Spencer.
Delegates were made up of 45% retailers, 42% suppliers and 13% service providers and voted on their top of mind issues for 2005. The forum is the place for debating the issues that matter for today's marketing director.
The marketing forum also revealed the results of the CIES Marketing Study – Leveraging Customer Insights.
