583 Food Safety Executives from 45 countries came together in Amsterdam to discuss their top-of-mind issues on the food Safety.
The delegates looked at exploring the risk management landscape, learned how to create value and manage risk in future.
Different Parallel Sessions explored the specific challenges faced by all stakeholders in the following areas :
- Food Safety in Retail Outlets - How Risk Management Adds Value
- Food Safety Standards - Creating Value
- Food Quality – Are there limits to your responsibility? Going beyond liability to add brand value
- Traceability: The consumer quest for information has never been more pressing. How does the industry deliver transparency?
Round Table Discussions permitted delegates to exchange ideas and discuss the following themes :
The 2007 CIES International Food Safety Conference is a unique annual event which attracted more than 500 food business executives and food safety experts from 43countries.
The conference focused on building confidence in food safety throughout the supply chain.
The programme examined how through a collaborative effort and enhanced transparency between all stakeholders food safety scares and risks could be reduced, better quality products could be provided for consumers and how trust could be built throughout the supply chain.

CIES International Food Safety Conference
Enhancing transparency from farm to fork

The 2006 CIES International Food Safety Conference is a unique annual event which attracted more than 485food business executives and food safety experts from 41 countries.
This two-day conference focused on enhancing transparency in the food chain. Through a collaborative effort between all stakeholders, the food sector can work towards decreasing food safety scares and risks, provide better quality products for consumers and enhance transparency between all the links in the food supply chain.
