CIES’ Washington, D.C. Office is a bridge to grocery retailers and manufacturers in the Americas. The Office engages retail leaders, informing them of CIES-led industry initiatives and facilitating participation in the organisation’s many activities.
The Office seeks to incorporate priorities of retailers from the region into CIES programmes and provide them with value-added services that take advantage of the extraordinary scope of our global network.
The Washington Office also organises CIES Roundtable of the Americas, a CEO-level share group of regional retailers from the US, Canada and Latin America.

CIES Asia Pacific's role in the region is to cater to the needs of grocery retailers and their suppliers in the permanent quest for information, knowledge and contacts which will enable them to improve their company's performance and professional standards in the service of Asian Consumers.
Our office constantly keeps our members up to date on progress within the retail industry and promotes CIES worldwide activities.
The CIES Asia Pacific office pioneered the Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) in 1996 together with our retailer and supplier members, forming the ECR Asia Council. As Secretariat, we are actively involved in helping out various ECR Boards in the region to organize ECR events and promote ECR awareness.

CIES – The Food Business Forum works in partnership with the China Chain Store and Franchise Association in China (CCFA). Registered in Ministry of Civil Affairs of the PRC in 1997, China Chain Store & Franchise Association (CCFA) is the sole representative of China's retailing & franchise industry. Members consist of group & individual members. The more than 650 group members include domestic & overseas retailers, franchisors and suppliers from all over China.

CIES – The Food Business Forum works in partnership with the Japan Chain Stores Association (JCA). Established in 1967, the Association’s main goal is to improve retailers’ management and encourage rationalisation and modernisation of the Japanese distribution system. JCA has 95 regular members which operate 8 334 stores and 523 supporting members.
